Our Founder

Ganiyat Sadiq is a Nigerian Canadian advocate, researcher, and non-profit specialist dedicated to eliminating systemic barriers faced by marginalized communities. Ganiyat holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Carleton University, specializing in International Development Policy and African Studies. She also earned a BA in Honours Political Science and a BA in International Relations, with an Embedded Certificate in Pluralism and Global Citizenship from the University of Calgary. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Global Governance at the University of Waterloo. With over six years of experience in advocacy, campaign advising, and non-profit management, Ganiyat brings deep expertise in equity-driven policy, strategic communications, and government relations. Her research interests include decolonization in international development, neocolonialism in sub-Saharan Africa, human rights, and the impact of global governance structures on the Global South. A passionate changemaker, Ganiyat has a proven track record of developing anti-racism, anti-oppression, and social justice programs across the public and private sectors. From February 2023 to June 2025, Ganiyat served on to the Prime Minister’s Youth Council, where she advised former PM Justin Trudeau on youth-centered policies and inclusive development.
